I've been a member of the ASMBS for the past twenty-five years. As such, I have held multiple positions within the organization including serving as an At Large member on the Integrated Health Executive Council. I'm a past Chair of the ASMBS Support Group committee and am one of the original coauthors for the ASMBS Suggestions for the Pre-Surgical Psychological Assessment of the Bariatric Surgery Candidate. I've been a psychologist consultant to and cast member on the first two seasons of the TLC show , a show tracking the journey of multiple families having weight loss surgery. I have also be a consultant to TLC's , which first aired in 2020. I'm presently a cohost for a weekly prime time WRFG-FM Atlanta half-hour radio show called On Your Mind, a show about anthing mental health related. The show can be heard streaming live or via archived ones. I've been in private practice for thirty five years, working with a variety of therapy patients, as well as conducting pre-bariatric surgery psychological evaluations and facilitating bariatric surgery patient support groups at three Atlanta area hospitals.
