He then completed a general surgery residency at Oregon Health Sciences University. Dr. Jay has been trained by Dr. Don Trunkey, a world famous trauma surgeon, Dr. Lee Swanstrom, president of the laparoscopic society Sages, and Dr. John Porter, who is editor of the “Yearbook of Vascular Surgery.” Laparoscopic weight-loss surgery in experienced hands offers patients many benefits, while keeping risks very low.
