Megan completed her undergraduate and post-graduate education at The University of Northern Iowa and Iowa State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics. She came to Midlands Clinic in 2007 and has been working with the Bariatric Program ever since. Megan is a member of The American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS). Her role with the bariatric education program is to help and support patients while they make changes to their lifestyle in preparation for weight loss surgery. Megan’s favorite part about working with the bariatric program is to watch the amazing transformations that patients make to their health and overall lifestyle through the process of weight loss surgery. She also loves being a part of an entire multidisciplinary team that supports each patient as they go throughout their weight loss surgery journey.
Best piece of healthy advice: “Get out of that ‘all or nothing thinking’ when it comes to dieting. All foods should be enjoyed in moderation!”
