Matthew Davis, MD, is a fellowship trained bariatric surgeon at the newly formed UTMP Weight Management and Wellness Center in Memphis, Tennessee. His clinical interests include primary and revisional bariatric surgery, gastroparesis, upper endoscopy and advanced laparoscopic foregut procedures. Dr. Davis was raised in Canada and attended medical school in Israel. He completed his General Surgery residency training at the Cleveland Clinic and a fellowship in Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Surgery at Duke University Medical Center. His educational focus will be on resident technical training. His research aims to characterize metabolic outcomes in the Mid-South population, as well as to explore social determinants of obesity.
