Dr. Pristas grew up in Delaware, OH and attended Denison University for her undergraduate studies. She received an Air Force scholarship for medical school and studied at Ohio University. After graduation, she completed an active duty residency in general surgery at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, MS. During residency, she received training in advanced laparoscopy including bariatric and robotic surgery. Following her Air Force service she and her husband, Tim Pristas DDS, moved back to Ohio with their three children. Bariatric surgery has always been her passion and led to her private practice: Best Life Bariatrics and Medical Weight Loss. This program combines years of experience and personalized care to optimize her patients’ long term outcome and success.
