She grew up in New York City and received degrees with honors from New York University and Mount Sinai School of Medicine. After completing a busy general surgery residency in Washington D.C. she went on to spend a year in Bariatric Surgery Fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr McArthur is board certified and performs minimally invasive and robotic procedures including Gastric Sleeve and Roux en Y Gastric Bypass. She has performed over 1500 Bariatric operations.
