Ginny Ledbetter has been a Registered Nurse for over 35 years and is passionate about quality in healthcare and improving patient outcomes. She received her BSN from Clemson University and her MSN from The Medical University of South Carolina. She is Board Certified as an Adult Health Clinical Nurse Specialist and a Bariatric Nurse.
Ginny spent most of her nursing career in the field of cardiovascular nursing and joined the Bariatric Surgery and Medical Weight Loss team at Roper St. Francis Healthcare as the Bariatrics Program Manager 6 years ago. She interacts with patients before surgery when teaching various pre-op classes and after surgery through patient rounds during their hospital stay, follow-up discharge phone calls, and the monthly Support Group. She ensures the program’s policies, procedures and processes comply with the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP) Accreditation Standards and is very involved with Quality and Process Improvement initiatives.
She is married and is the mother of a daughter and son and is a huge Clemson Tiger football fan. In her leisure time she enjoys traveling with friends and family, visiting new restaurants, and watching sports on TV.
