Dr. Brandon R. Fadner is a native Texan who calls Houston home. He was an exemplary high school student, and a standout track and field athlete. Dr. Fadner went on to compete in track and field at the NCAA Division 1 level. It was during his time as an endurance athlete that he first became interested in metabolic health.
Dr. Fadner attended Texas A&M University, he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. in Biomedical Sciences.
Dr. Fadner obtained his medical degree from the University of Texas McGovern Medical School.
Dr. Fadner completed his residency training in General Surgery in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the University of Oklahoma Health and Sciences Center. During his time as a resident, he won several awards for teaching excellence. During his surgical training, he developed a passion for Bariatric surgery.
Dr. Fadner returned to Houston to complete a fellowship in Advanced Minimally Invasive Surgery and Bariatric Surgery at the Davis Clinic which is a member of the nationally-recognized MIST UT-Houston consortium of fellowships. During his fellowship, Dr. Fadner received extensive training in primary bariatric surgery as well as in revisional bariatric surgery. Additionally, Dr. Fadner was trained in robotic-assisted laparoscopic surgery.
Dr. Fadner is excited to offer his patients a wide variety of surgical options to help them achieve their weight loss goals. He performs the Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy, and Laparoscopic Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass. Additionally, he offers revisional bariatric surgery to those patients who have already undergone a surgical weight loss procedure and are unsatisfied with their results.
