Dr. Mariah A. Beasley has been performing bariatric surgery for 10 years. She currently performs robot assisted sleeve gastrectomy, gastric bypass, duodenal switch, and revisional surgery.
She attended medical school at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Beasley competed her residency in General Surgery at The University of Tennessee Medical Center. Upon completion of her surgery residency, she earned a distinguished fellowship in Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, as well as training in the Davinci Robot system. She then joined the faculty at the University of Tennessee Graduate School of Medicine, in Knoxville, Tennessee, where she practiced for 6 years. In 2019, she joined Dr. Stephen Boyce at Tennova Turkey Creek.
Dr. Beasley is board certified in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. She is an active member of the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, American College of Surgeons, and the American Association of Endocrine Surgeons. She is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine, providing comprehensive care of the obese patient.
