I am a Clinical Psychologist, board certified in Behavioral and Cognitive Therapy, with over twenty years experience working with patients before and after bariatric surgery. I am the author of “Through Thick and Thin: The Emotional Journey of Weight Loss Surgery” as well as several articles and book chapters on psychological considerations surrounding weight loss surgery. I received my PhD in Clinical and School Psychology from Hofstra University in 1993 and am licensed in Psychology in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and have a telehealth license in Florida. I am a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the NYU Grossman School of Medicine and an Allied Health Professional at NYU Langone Health and Northwell Health Lenox Hill Hospital.
