Hello, my name is Michael Choi, MD and I am a board-certified minimally invasive surgeon specializing in laparoscopic and robotic general and bariatric surgery. I currently work at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, NH. I received my Bachelor of Science degree from Stanford University and my medical degree from the University of Chicago – Pritzker School of Medicine. I then completed my general surgery internship and residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California where I received several awards for teaching and academic achievement. Following residency, I went on to complete a fellowship in advanced gastrointestinal surgery, minimally invasive surgery, and bariatric surgery at Weill Cornell Medical Center – New York Presbyterian Hospital. I specialize in minimally invasive general surgery including both laparoscopic and robotic surgery which I use to treat hernias and problems of the gallbladder, stomach, small intestine, colon, etc. as well as other general surgery-related issues. I am also a fellowship-trained metabolic and bariatric surgeon and perform a variety of weight loss procedures, including the sleeve gastrectomy, gastric bypass, and biliopancreatic diversion with duodenal switch. I am a member of the American Society of Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery as well as the Society of Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons.
