Dr Daniel Guerron is Consultant Surgeon at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Digestive Diseases Institute. After completing his medical school at the Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Ecuador he completed a dedicated research period of training in basic and translational research at the Children’s National Medical Center in Washington DC. He completed his residency in general Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Ohio where he was the recipient of the 2015 Steiger Award granted to a Surgical Resident for significant research contributions. He complemented his surgical training with an advanced gastrointestinal minimally invasive and bariatric surgery fellowship at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. Dr Guerron is involved in residency and fellowship training. He has published several original scientific articles, outcomes research and review articles related to laparoscopy, innovation, and bariatrics. Additionally, has collaborated with book chapters in his field. Dr. Guerron is passionate about clinical excellence and patient-centered care, with a particular focus on surgical research and innovation. His specialty interests include advanced laparoscopic gastrointestinal surgery, metabolic surgery, advanced endoscopy and robotic surgery.
