Christopher Crawford, MD FACS FASMBS is a board-certified general surgeon with specialty training in bariatric surgery as well as anti-reflux surgery, hiatal hernia repair and other advanced laparoscopic repair of abdominal wall hernias. He is interested in fitness, nutrition and a healthy lifestyle. He did his surgical residency at the Marshfield Clinic in Wisconsin and an advanced laparoscopic/minimally invasive surgery fellowship at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. He graduated with the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery certificate in bariatric surgery. He is a Wisconsin native but relocated to the Carmel area in order to join the Meridian Surgical team. His wife is a nurse, and in his free time, he enjoys skiing, camping, building Lego with his two middle-school sons, and traveling.
Dr. Crawford enjoys bariatric surgery because of the opportunity to follow patients over a span of years and to see them restore their health and add years to their lives! He is very passionate about patient education.
